My 3 years old twins asked for camera for Christmas, and they're absolutely happy with it. A plus for them was the style of the silicone cover, my twins are typical boy and girl, he loves dinosaurs and she loves unicorns. The basic functions are easy to navigate for their age, they got around that quick. For me, it was vey important that there's no video games in it, we really don't need one more of these games that takes up space on the device and in the little ones brains and they can focus on actually taking photos
